Personal Web Portal

Description

This information is provided to assist you in logging into the Web Portal to set up your account and get you started. For more advanced training and to answer questions not addressed here, please email [email protected]. This document will instruct you on the Web Portal for all Masergy Hosted UC Users. Your features may vary depending on your user license. The web portal allows users to configure and customize services. The Personal web portal provides users with a web interface that allows them to view, configure, activate, and deactivate their services. The Personal web portal also provides the users with:

  1. List of user services they are subscribed to
  2. List of group services they are subscribed to
  3. Context-sensitive help for every service
  4. Feature access codes that are associated with subscribed-to service

The Personal web portal is authenticated for each user with a user ID and a password, and provides a secure connection to Masergy.

How To

Log In

  1. Log in using any standard browser, go to: https://login.masergy.com/
  2. Enter your assigned User ID (See your administrator)
  3. Enter your Password. (See your administrator)
  4. Press the ENTER key or click the Login button.
  5. (if you are an admin or used a shared computer do not check the “remember me” box)

Help

(Top Right) – this link will show Help items related to the page you are currently viewing.

  1. From Profile page, under Basic Heading, click Profile
  2. Here you can edit your basic information (i.e. mobile, email, yahoo ID etc.)
  3. The info will appear on your group list for everyone at your company.
  4. To view this information, Under Options Tab click Utilities, and then click Group Directory.

Some of this information can ONLY be modified by your administrator.

Change your password

The first time you log in, you should change your password.

  1. Click the Options Tab
  2. Click Profile
  3. Change your web access password by entering your default password, then the new password twice.
  4. Click apply.

Do not change your voice portal password here.

Speed Dial 8

Speed Dial 8 allows you to set up to eight speed dial numbers.

  1. Click the Options Tab
  2. Click Outgoing Calls
  3. Click Speed Dial 8
  4. Enter the telephone numbers and names in the corresponding boxes.
  5. Print a copy for your reference.
  6. Click Apply.
Using Speed Dial 8:
  1. Dial the single digit assigned.
  2. Press the softkey labeled Send or Dial.

Speed Dial 100

Speed Dial 100 enables users to dial from phone by dialing # plus two digits then click dial.

  1. Click the Options Tab.
  2. Click Outgoing Calls.
  3. Click Speed Dial 100.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Select a number from the drop down menu.
  6. Enter the name and phone number
  7. Click OK.
  8. Print a copy for your reference.
Using Speed Dial 100
  1. Without picking up your telephone handset or having a dial tone, Dial # plus the two digit number you assigned.
  2. Press the softkey labeled Dial.
    The following Speed 100 numbers are not available: 21, 31, 40, 41, 43.

Voice Mail Settings

  1. Click the Options Tab.
  2. Click Messaging.
You can change the number of rings your phone rings before voicemail picks up.
  1. Click Greetings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom.
  3. Check the appropriate number of rings.
  4. Click OK.

Email

Notify option sends you an email message only. The carbon copy option sends you an email with an attached .wav file voice mail message.

You can set your voicemail system to send you an email when you get a message.

  1. Click Voice Management.
  2. Check the box at the bottom labeled either:
  3. Enter a valid email address.
  4. Click OK.

If you would anyone calling into your voicemail to have the option to dial zero and being transferred to another telephone number, you must set up that option.

  1. Click Voice Management.
  2. Check the bottom box labeled “Transfer on ‘0’ to Phone Number:”
  3. Enter the phone number that you wish the calls to forward to.
  4. Click OK.

Any extension or outside telephone number will work.

Feature Access Codes (Utilities)

Feature Access Codes list the star codes for services that you have. To activate a service, hit the * key and the number followed by the # key. Some require additional information such as a phone number, but you are prompted for that information. You cannot change your feature access codes. Be sure to dial the code and then pick up the handset.
