On Friday March 13, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai launched the “Keep Americans Connected Pledge,” calling on network and communications service providers to protect connectivity for those impacted by the disruptions of the Coronavirus. Masergy, alongside other companies, has responded by signing the FCC’s pledge. Here’s what it means and how Masergy’s global clients benefit.
Masergy has made a commitment to ensure our qualifying clients don’t lose their SD-WAN, cloud unified communications, and security services as a result of the exceptional circumstances of COVID-19. For the next 60 days, Masergy promises to abide by the pledge, which reads as reads as follows:
Network connectivity, security, and cloud unified communications are critical services for every business, and Masergy wants to help alleviate concerns about these services for our small business customers at a time when they’re focusing on protecting the health of their employees and their business. We recognize the disruptions that COVID-19 is having on our corporate, economic, educational, medical, and civic life, and we stand in partnership with our small business clients, helping them preserve their business continuity. While the FCC’s initiative is aimed at helping Americans, Masergy has clients across the globe. As such, we are extending our pledge to all of our business customers with fewer than 50 employees regardless of geography. We applaud the FCC in initiating this pledge and are proud to join in this commitment.
