With this Polycom Phone Services feature you get the following features:

Call Forwarding integration allows you to have all incoming calls skip ringing on your Masergy phone and go directly to your mobile, your assistant or some other number. Messages will go to that other number. When your telephone is idle, you might see softkeys labeled new call & forward. We discouraged users from utilizing the softkey labeled Forward. Now it is fully integrated with the system.
Do not disturb (DND) Integration means that calls will not ring on your desk phone, but will be sent directly to voicemail. If you've enabled it properly then your BUSY greeting will play for callers. Your phone may have a hard button labeled Do Not Disturb or you may see it under Menu>>Features>> Do Not Disturb. We discouraged users from utilizing this phone feature. Now it is fully integrated with the system.

 

How to

Enable/disable phone call forwarding

  1. Dialing *72 (disable with *73) OR
  2. Press the softkey labeled forward OR
  3. Call into the voice portal OR
  4. Log into the web portal OR
  5. Click on the outlook or toolbar

All these ways work the same. Pick your favorite. If you have shared call appearance you cannot use the softkey labeled forward, but there are other cool features below for you.

Enable/disable DND

  1. Dial *78 (disable with *79) OR
  2. Press the Do Not Disturb feature button on the phone OR
  3. Log in to the web portal OR
  4. Click on the outlook or toolbar

All these ways function uniformly. Again, pick your favorite. If you have shared call appearance you cannot use the phone feature.
From your telephone

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press Features
  3. Press Do Not Disturb.

Directory Options

  1. Call customer service and let them know you want the new directory options.
  2. Enter your numbers online using the easy to use web portal.

What are the Three Directories?

  • Personal Phone List
  • Specific to one user
  • Programmed by user or Admin

To set up: http://login.masergy.com Then go to outgoing calls>>Personal Phone List. You can enter them one by one or click help for more info.
This list can be phone numbers in your group or outside the group.

Common Phone List (for the entire group)

  • Programmed by Admin only.
  • Can be disabled per user.
  • This list can be phone numbers in your group or outside the group.

Custom Contact Directory

  • Can be used as a Department List
  • Programmed by Admin only
  • Choose one Department List per user
  • Can be disabled per user.
  • This list is just people in your group.

Enhanced Feature Keys

Masergy is excited to bring you Enhanced Feature Keys. Since we enabled the New Directories, we had to put your Park button some place. We decided to edit your softkeys. These are the three or four context sensitive buttons below the display on your Polycom phones. The new softkey abbreviations and descriptions are:

  • New Call - For when you want to get a dial tone on speaker phone.
  • Send - When you are finished entering digits and want to dial a call.
  • Dial - When you are finished entering digits and want to dial a call.
  • Forward - To forward your phone to any other number. You may choose Call Forward Always, Call Forward No answer or Call Forward Busy. (This option is not available if you have shared call appearance.)
  • Answer - Press to answer a call. It will go to either the speakerphone or headset.
  • Hold - To place a call on Hold.
  • Resume - To resume a call from hold.
  • Transfer - To transfer your current or held call to another number
    • Press Trnfer
    • Enter the number
    • Press Send
    • Press Trnsfer

Create a 3 to 6 way call with your current or held call

  1. Press More
  2. Press Confrnc
  3. Enter the number
  4. Press Send
  5. Press Confrnc

(If you are limited to your call plus two other parties, simply call customer service for 6 way calling.)

  • Silence/Ignore - This will turn off the ringtone for the current incoming call.
  • Reject - This will send the current incoming call to voicemail.
  • Dir - This stands for Contact Directory.

It will show all the directory entries entered on the Web see Above: "Cool New Directory Options" for details.
You can utilize this key when the phone is idle and has a dialtone.

Get directory while you are on the phone,

  1. Press Menu
  2. Press 1 for Features
  3. Press 3 for Contact Directory

SendVM

Direct Transfer to Voicemail and Equal to Feature Access Code *55

ParkPck

Park Pickup.

Retrieving a call from Park.

Equal to Feature Access Code *88

Grp Pck

Group Call Pickup.

Answer a call that is ringing in on a nearby phone.

  • This is set up by the admin originally.
  • All users can be in up to one call pickup group.
  • Equal to Feature Access Code *98
  • This will not answer a call from a call center or hunt group.

Ext Pck

Direct Call pickup or Extension Pickup.

  • You can pickup
  • Equal to Feature Access Code *97
  • You must have one of these user licenses to utilize this feature
    • Premium
    • Receptionist
    • Executive.

PTT

Push to Talk.

  • Similar to intercom between phones.
  • This feature must be enabled on the system
  • Equal to Feature Access Code *50

Pull

This answers calls on your Masergy phone that have been directed to your cell using Masergy Anywhere.

Equal to Feature Access Code *11

URL Dialing

For calls to URL's such as Skype.
Again if you don't see these softkeys, just reboot your phone. And these softkeys are "context sensitive" and dependant on the current telephone activity.
